About the Owner

My love of dance began at an early age and has never left me. I took dance classes from an early age and trained in ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and participated in exams. I was a member of the Utah Valley Civic Ballet Company. I was on my high school drill team all three years of high school and I served as a drill mistress and president and was awarded All-State. I also was on the high school dance company. I went to UVU (ok, UVSC back then) with a dance scholarship where I was the president of the dance team (I frequently point out to my kids when driving past the UCCU Center that I choreographed the first half-time routine performed there). I was also a member of Synergy, the modern dance company there. Before I got married and moved away from all my dance connections I enjoyed judging drill team tryouts, being a guest teacher for an adult community dance class, being a Miss Utah Pageant dancer, and choreographing for the UVU team. I have also gained experience teaching young children creative dance, ballet and jazz.

I love all things related to health and wellness and body image resilience. I just became a mentor for a program called MindStrength for Girls which helps girls develop their own core values, gain confidence in who they are as an individual, and also help them connect with others. I will be incorporating principles into classes because I believe women and girls have so much to contribute to this world and in order to do that they need to know who they are and have confidence in themselves!
